Parable of the Quiet Singer...

A quiet singer, sitting to the side, rose with the funeral congregation for the final hymn. He thought to himself "Although I can sing well enough, I will keep custody of my voice since it makes no difference to anyone." As the hymn unfolded, a turn of phrase or a thought about the deceased would swell up within him, and the emotions of the moment would close-off his song.


As the people began to leave, a woman turned and scanned him up and down, seeing into his heart. She said "You have a VOICE... you should learn to USE it."


What she said touched his heart, and he began to use his voice from that day on….
